Itinerary

 

Day 1- Arrival at Kathmandu Airport (1,400m/4,592ft)

On the first day, one of our office representatives will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport. S/He will meet and greet you with an auspicious garland and transport you to your hotel in our private tourist vehicle. S/He will assist you in checking in and have a pre-trip meeting with you at the hotel. You will be briefed on your overall program and introduced to your guide, and any questions/queries you may have will be answered.

 

Day 2- Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840m/9,316ft) and trek to Phakding (2,610m/8,561ft)

Our guide will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and accompany you to Kathmandu airport’s domestic terminal. Then you board the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. You will be treated to breathtaking and majestic views of the Himalayas during the 40-minute ride. After landing at Tenzing-Hillary Airport, you meet your porter. He will carry your luggage, and then you will start your trek. The trek will be 3 to 4 hours from Lukla to Phakding (8km).

 

Day 3- Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,440m/11,284ft)

Early morning, right after a fulfilling breakfast, you continue trekking along the banks of the DudhKoshi River. The trail climbs over the ridge and pines to the small village of Toktok, steeply around the hill, and reaches Benkar. You will get a checkpoint for Sagarmatha National Park, where your trekking cards will be checked. After a 6-7 hours walk (12km), you will reach Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a charming mountain town built on a steep mountain bowl with stunning views of Kongde RI, Thamserku, and other peaks in the background.

 

Day 4- First Acclimatization Day at Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,284ft)

To avoid altitude sickness, you will again be staying at Namche Bazar. However, you will still trek for 3-4 hours (5km) to reach Syangboche. You will be fascinated by the view of Mt.Everest and other surrounding mountains. You will walk through the largest Sherpa village, Khumjung. You will also be allowed to visit the Sagarmatha National Park visitor center. You’llYou’ll stay the night at one of the best lodges in Namche Bazaar.

 

Day 5- Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3,860m/12,661ft)

You will walk from Namche to Tengboche for about 5 hours (10km). The major attraction at this place is Tengboche Gompa. The monastery contains a 20-foot-tall figure of Buddha, exceedingly elaborate wall hangings, the Lamas’ musical instruments, and robes. Here too, you will be staying in the best lodge.

 

Day 6- Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m/14,465ft)

Your trek will start by passing a rhododendron forest that will soon lead to Debuche. On your way, you will see the magic of mother nature, and you will come across many meadows, streams, and other scenic beauties. After a 6 hrs (2km) walk, you will finally reach Dingboche, staying in one of their best lodges.

 

Day 7- Second Acclimatization Day at Dingboche (4,410m/14,465ft)

You will be staying overnight at Dingboche for the acclimatization. Our guide will take you for a short hike of about 2 hrs (4km) to Nangkartshang Gompa. This Buddhist monastery is believed to be highly spiritual and is 400 m above Dingboche on the ridge. Here, you can also enjoy the view of some of the tallest peaks.

 

Day 8- Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,910m/16,105ft)

You will be climbing through the village of Dusa, and on your way, you will be taken away with a spectacular view of famous mountains like Taboche, Cholatse, Ama Dablam, and Kantega. You will walk for about 7 hrs(12km) on this day to Lobuche.

 

Day 9- Trek from Lobuche to GorakShep (5,140m/16,860ft) and visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m/17,594ft)

After going onto the trail, you will catch your first glance at Kalapathar (5545m). While continuing your path, you will admire the Khumbu Glacier by the side of the moraine. The trail then passes across the Changri Shar Glacier before arriving in GorakShep, a level valley with sandy terrain at the foot of Kalapathar. As you move toward Everest Base Camp, the path continues through the Khumbu Glacier. Everest Base Camp is situated at the base of the Khumbu Icefall at a height of 5365 meters. After visiting EBC, you will trek back to GorakShep. This trek will total 7-8 hrs (15km).

 

Day 10- Hike to Kala Patthar (5550m/18,204ft) and descend to Pheriche (4,240m/13,908ft)

You will start this day’s trek with an early morning hike to Kala Patthar, and it will take about 2 hrs to reach the summit, marked by the prayer flags. At this altitude, it is possible to view Everest’sEverest’s actual height. The entire south face of Everest is seen. After witnessing this stunning landscape, you will go down to GorakShep. Here, you will have lunch, and in the late afternoon, you will make the trip back to Pheriche along the Khumbu Glacier moraine. You must walk 7-8 hrs (12 km-15 km) on this day.

 

Day 11- Trek from Pheriche to Namche (3,440m/11,284ft)

You will walk for about 6-7 hrs (14km) this day. You will retrace your footsteps down to Namche Bazaar and will again stay at the best mountain lodge there.

 

 

 

Day 12: Trek from Namche to Lukla (2,840m/9,316ft)

You will steep down your path from Namche. On the way, you will check out your trekking card and travel from Benkar and Phakding to Lukla. It will take you about 8 hrs(15km) to reach Lukla. Reaching Lukla is regarded as the end of your overall trek.

 

Day 13: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (1,400m/4,592ft)

You will move to Tenzing-Hillary airport early in the morning and again catch a scenic flight back to Kathmandu. It will take you about 35 mins to reach Kathmandu. In Kathmandu, you could have a relaxing spa day.

 

Day 14: Final Departure

The journey officially ends on this day. Our tour guide will drop you off at the Kathmandu International Airport.
